Week 1 vs. UCLA

The 2021 LSU football season opener was obviously not what we were expecting, nor wanting to see. What were y'alls take aways from the game?

My take aways were... it's going to be a long football season. Without pass protection and penetration on the DL we're going to be lucky to win 6 games.

The ugly... I saw an OL that couldn't protect their QB or open lanes for the running game. I saw a DL that couldn't get any kind of push or penetration up front. I saw LB'ers that looked confused and almost always out of position, the same goes for the secondary for the most part. And as a whole, I saw a defense that couldn't wrap up, tackle, or cover their assignments.

I'm not sure what the coaching issue was Saturday night but it didn't look to me like there were any adjustments made. The scariest part here is it looks as if our entire coaching staff is more clueless than the players.
