Prespawn Topwater Bass Fishing

Tuesday evening last week, I got out for the last hour or so to do a little topwater Bass fishing.

I was throwing an Evolution Baits grassburner buzzbait and had this 5.44# pig put the smackdown on me.

I wish I lived on Toledo Bend, the fishing there is outstanding and the size just can't be beat. I fish all over Bossier City and Shreveport. Mainly from the bank since I don't have a boat, but I do get on the water occasionally with a buddy of mine that has a boat.

Sweet!! I live by Kentucky Lake and get some bass hit on my Sac-a-lait (brim here) rigs, but nothing that big yet. I have seen them pull some monsters out of there so I am hoping!
